Two Wee Things

Elizabeth's hats and dresses in Poldark series are really pretty! (c) @imheidareed:

Howdy friends!

SPRING IS IN ZEE AIR. And I'm feeling like making some (positive) changes around The Blog. After seeing several other bloggers do this, I decided to make a survey form for you all to fill out, so you can tell me some of your opinions and what you'd like to see around here. I'm not forcing you, of course -- I just thought it'd be fun. ;-) If you fill it out I will send you all virtual no-bake cookies and apple cider. HERE'S the link.

The other thing is this Certain Video that's been making me giddy with happiness all day. People, spring fever and Hornblower fever come at the same time for me, and right now I'm drowning in both. Watch this video and drown with me. ;-P

Doesn't it make you want to be a sailor in 1793?!?!?

 (You're all thinking, she's nuts.) ;-P

    1. You mean Ioan Gruffudd -- that version?!? Isn't it awesome? (I liked it. But maybe that's just because my sister and I had such a wild time alternately sighing over and poking fun at Ioan Gruffudd's Pip.)

    2. Yes yes! :-) Sorry it was early and I wasn't thinking straight! Yes yes it was brilliant! for the same reason as you ;) But he was rather dashing as Pip

    1. Haha! That's funny. No, I don't have any clothes like that. Thank you! I could tell which answers were yours. (DUH. Plus you made yourself known.) Ohhhhhhh, didn't it just thrill your to your toes?! Yes, I know Archie's not in it -- but that's because the song is about the common sailors and that's why it's mostly clips of Stiles and Matthews and Oldroyd. (But I know, I still miss Archie.) ;-)

THANK YOU!!! I know I am.

  4. The girl in the picture looks a little bit like you. :D (Same nose, hehe.)
Um, AUTUMN is in the air... but anywho, I still filled out the survey. ;P I betcha can tell which one is mine! ;) Oh, and I don't really like apple cider, thank you. I'll just take the cookies. (We made our own apple cider once for school... it was... weird. :P)
Wow, I'm basically drowning!! Ahem. But that was a lovely video - it made me smile and sigh happily and want to watch them again. Actually, I was watching the snippets and thinking, 'Gosh, some of those scenes look like they're from Master and Commander!' 'cause I thought they were just all from Hornblower... and then I saw the words at the end and thought AHA! I was right. :D (By the way, have you seen Master and Commander?) I love the harmony in that song... *happy sigh*
If you're nuts, then I am too. ;D

    1. Now that you mention it, that DOES look like my nose! ;-P Haha.

Thanks for filling it out! Yeah, I could tell which one was yours. *gasp* You don't like cider?! You must have never had good cider then. It's impossible not to like it. Someday you must have good New York State cider. ;-)

I haven't seen Master and Commander, but I'm sort of interested in it. It can't possibly be near as good as Hornblower though. ;-P

      Yay! We'll be nuts together.

  7. Spring IS in the air.... And I'm not sure I'm ready for it!! (In my mind, I'm still getting ready for winter.)
The survey was fun! :) I hope the post I asked for wasn't too much. :/
Haha,, even if you WERE nuts, it wouldn't be any of my business! ;D I believe we're all crazy/nuts in our own, special way. ;)

    1. Oh, I am SO ready for it. I'm wearing short sleeves in 50 degree weather, I'm that ready for it.

Oh, good! I'm not sure which one was yours...but I'll do my best!

  8. I only want to be a sailor if I can either be best friends with Archie and 'ratio, or with Jack Aubrey & Stephen Maturin.

  9. I finally did it! (Except the age thing, 'cause one's parents wish one to be careful among the interwebs.) Oh, and I don't think I've mentioned it yet, but I really like this new look! Especially the sidebar. The sidebar makes me very happy :D
