Thanksgiving

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song.
~ Psalm 28:7

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever.
~ 1 Chronicles16:34

In that day you will say: "Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what He has done, and proclaim that His name is exalted."
~ Isaiah 12:4

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Colossians 3:17

(It's a Lantern In Her Hand tradition :-D)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

  3. Happy Thanksgiving, Emma! Wonderful post about being grateful :)

Is that a photo of your family's farm? It's a beautiful picture, wherever it's from :)

    1. No, that's actually a picture of my neighbor's house -- I took it from the edge of my yard, wanting to capture the beautiful leaves and autumn colors (of the wind, haha), and their house happened to be included in the picture. (This actually isn't the first time it's appeared on my blog -- don't tell my neighbors.) ;-P

And thank you! I hope you had a very happy Thanksgiving too!

    2. We did! I did basically zero college homework, which was very nice ;) And we had a great time helping my mom make the Thanksgiving dinner! It was delicious, especially the pumpkin pie :)

  7. This was a wonderful post, perfect for Thanksgiving.
Sorry, I've been to your blog a few times but I've just never commented until know and it was more to ask a question. Do you actually know the TV show from the clip that you shared or do you just like the song? (The TV show being Dr. Quinn.)
    Just wondering. :)

P.S. I also noticed that you have quotes from Second-hand Lions and Man From Snowy River on your sidebar. That's fantastic!

And yup, I love those movies. (Coincidentally, I just watched The Man From Snowy River last night!)

I'd love it if you'd drop me a line or two! I always enjoy receiving comments from readers and friends. I ask that you please keep your comments clean and God-honoring, and please don't write anything you wouldn't want your grandmother to read. Also, if you are commenting under anonymous, please do leave your name (or some sort of moniker so that you aren't totally nameless). Thank you so much and have a lovely day!
