Period Drama Hands Screencap Game

Bonus point: Who is this adorable couple?

It's been far too long since we had a game here at For the Beauty of the Earth! This weeks' game will have screencaps of couples from period dramas holding hands. Below are eleven screencaps of different couples holding hands. Try to guess what period drama the screencap comes from and the names of the couple in each picture. 5 points will be given for each correctly guessed period drama, 5 for naming the characters, and an additional point if you can name the actors as well. Answers will be posted next Saturday.

  3. I'm so dismal at these. But I still enjoy them :-) I can get the bonus point, though! That's Henry Tilney and Catherine Morland from "Northanger Abbey." Played by JJ Field and... shoot, I can't remember who plays CM right now.

    My other guesses:

Couple #1 are Hero and Claudio from "Much Ado About Nothing," played by Kate Beckinsale and Robert Sean Leonard.

Couple #3 might be Henry Tilney (J.J. Field) and Catherine Morland from "Northanger Abbey" again.

Couple #9 are Marianne Dashwood and Colonel Brandon in "Sense and Sensibility" played by Kate Winslet and Alan Rickman.

Couple #11 might be Gilbert Blythe and Anne Shirley from "Anne of Avonlea," played by Jonathon Crombie and Megan Follows.

    Those are my guesses!

  8. Dear Emma,
could you please ignore my last comment because I didn't realise you could win points by naming the actor. So I'll do everything again:

Bonus Point: Henry Tilney and Catherine Moorland (Felicity Jones) from Northanger Abbey.

    1. From Much Ado About Nothing? Is the lady acted by Emma Thompson?

    2. Bleak House. Ada Claire and Mr-What's his name. The lady is acted by Carey Mulligan.

    3. Henry Tilney and Catherine Moorland (acted by Felicity Jones) from Northanger Abbey.

    4. Roger and Molly from Wives and Daughters. Acted by Justine Waddle and Anthony Howell.

    5. Victoria and Albert from Young Queen Victoria. Albert is acted by Rupert Friend. Victoria is acted by Olivia something.

    6. Not sure!!!! Maybe Fanny and Edmund from Mansfield Park. If so, they are acted by Nicholas Farrle and Sylvestra le Touyle (Not sure about the spelling!)

    7. Seriously NO IDEA.

    8. Emma and Mr Knightley from Emma. Acted by Romola Garai and Johnny Lee Miller.

    9. Marianne Dashwood and Colonel Brandon from Sense and Sensibility. Acted by Kate Winslet and Alan Rickman.

    10. Fanny Thornton and her husband in North and South. Don't know about the actors.

    11. Anne and Gilbert from Anne the sequel. Anne is acted by Megan Follows.

  10. In that case, #1 must be Benedick and Beatrice from "Much Ado About Nothing," played by real-life-couple-at-the-time Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson!
