Period Drama Hat Game

This weeks' game will be similar to the Dresss Game I posted two weeks ago. Below are 12 hats from 12 different period films. The scoring will work the same as it did for the dress game: 5 points for guessing the movie, 5 points for guessing the character who wears the hat, and 5 points for naming the actress. I hope you enjoy it! : )
(Please excuse the scary whitened faces in some of the pictures-- some of them I couldn't crop without taking off a lot of the hat, so y'all will have to deal with it. Sorry. ) : P

5 comments:

  1. #1- Romola Garai as Emma Woodhouse in Emma.
#2- Our lovely Jane Seymour as Elise Mckenna in Somewhere in Time.
#3- Romola Garai as Barbara Spooner in Amazing Grace.
#4- Romola Garai again! This time she's Gwendolen Harleth in Daniel Deronda.
#5- Imelda Staunton as Miss Octavia Pole in Cranford.
#6- Hmmm...someone in Downton Abbey. I think it's either Elizabeth Mcgovern as Lady Grantham or Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary Crawley.
#7- Why, it's that Barbra Streisand as Dolly Levi in 'Hello, Dolly!'
#8- Megan Follows as Anne Shirley in Anne of Green Gables: the Sequel.
#9- Abbie Cornish as Fanny Brawne in Bright Star.
#10- It's Hornblower. He's escaped! Ioan Gruffudd as Horatio Hornblower in Hornblower: The Fire Ship.
#11- You must excuse me as I guess wildly. Carey Mulligan as Ada Clare in Bleak House? It reminds me of someone in Cranford, but I don't know who it could be. Tamsin Merchant as the girl in The Mystery of Edwin Drood? (How embarassing, I've forgotton her name!) I'm afraid I really don't know.
#12- Well, if it looks like Elizabeth Bennet, I guess I'll just have to guess Elizabeth Bennett now, won't I? Meryl Streep-I'm mean Jennifer Ehle-as Elizabeth Bennet in none other than Pride and Prejudice.

    All the best,
    Sadie

  5. Sadie,
All of your guesses except #11 were correct. Your score is...*rushes to get the calculator because she doesn't want to do math in her head*... 165 points.

    Belle,
Your guesses on #2, #3, #5, #8, and #12 were all correct. Your score is 25 points.

    Hamlette,
Your guesses on #7, #8, and #11 were all completely correct. Your guess on #6 was incorrect, but I'm thinking that might be the same hat, so maybe I should give you credit for it anyway...but I don't think I'm going to. Bwahaha. Sorry!

    Maddie Rose,
Your guesses on #2, #3, #5, #8, #11, and #12 were all correct. Your score is 85 points. Thank you so much for following my blog! : )

    Thank you all for playing!
